John Blanchet is an audit partner in the Lafayette office of Broussard, Poché, Lewis & Breaux, LLP. Special areas of expertise include audits and litigation support, with emphasis on the construction industry, banking and governmental agencies. Other areas of knowledge and experience include EDP controls and the environment, fraud and embezzlement issues, and lost profits.
A graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Mr. Blanchet joined the firm in 1977 and was made a partner in 1985. He has earned the Certificate of Educational Achievement (CEA) in Governmental Auditing and Accounting.
Professional involvements include memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Louisiana Society of CPAs, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
